This book includes an interesting focus on the influence that superstition has played in the social progression of man and accounts for a few cultural superstitions across the world. He also denounces the purpose of maintaining modern superstition. He touches on Mesmerism and Telepathy and concludes with a statement regarding the restraints that superstition holds on the growth of human intelligence.
